2020: Rising Together

The year 2020 was unlike anything we could have predicted. Despite the challenges the world faced, Hope for the Holidays grew stronger than ever. What began as a small idea had expanded into something much bigger, and we couldn’t have been more proud of what we accomplished together.

This year, we took our campaign online through Boozy Baskets, making it possible for people across the country to join in and contribute to the cause. The response was incredible. We raised a total of $5,000, which is a huge milestone! The funds were distributed to five people who were facing their own battles with chronic illness. Each person received $1,000, helping with essentials like groceries, medications, and utilities—things that many of us take for granted but that can be a huge burden when you're dealing with health issues.

What I’m most proud of this year is that we were able to make a real impact on people’s lives. The donations provided a lifeline for those who needed it most. One person was able to buy much-needed medication, another used the funds for transportation to medical appointments, and others used the money to cover utility bills and everyday expenses.

This year wasn’t just about the funds raised; it was about the connections made, the stories shared, and the community that was built. We proved that even in a year of uncertainty, kindness and generosity could still shine brightly.
